About me
Ami Plasse is a New York City native (turned Austin transplant). Ami honed his skills as an artist on his daily subway commutes from Brooklyn, capturing his often fleeting subjects as they moved across the city. Now in Austin, Ami frequents music venues and creative gatherings, capturing the characters, ideas, and atmosphere as it unfolds. Ami is known for his live-drawing, and is available for corporate, private, and public events, where his work lives up the gathering, brings people together, and leaves an artful record of the celebrations, performances, and get-togethers where he shares his talents. Ami has created special pieces — print, digital, and animation — for the University of Texas, HAAM, Preacher, Downtown Austin Alliance, Creative Mornings, Austin City Limits Music Festival, City of Austin, and Microsoft.
